What Jiang Means

But Jiang does not treat psychohistory as a finished machine. That is why prediction matters: it disciplines the model.
The school dream matters too. Jiang says he wants a school that can develop psychohistory to its fullest possibility, a place like Plato’s Academy where students learn to model history, politics, literature, and the human heart together. Psychohistory is not only data science. It is also a liberal-arts project for forming people who can imagine, doubt, revise, and love.

How To Use This Term
Section titled “How To Use This Term”Use this term when Jiang is discussing the predictive ambition of the whole project: modeling history, human behavior, civilizational patterns, and future events through a disciplined loop of prediction and revision.
Do not use it as if Jiang already has a perfected mathematical oracle. The point is the research program and testing discipline, not omniscience.
