# The Safe Place Is Not A Place

> Kim Iversen brings Jiang on because the channel has become a prediction machine. Jiang answers by defining the machine: history as model testing, game theory as psychology, America as late empire, civil war as elite instrument, Pax Judaica as the next safe house of capital, and survival as a spiritual problem rather than a relocation strategy.

## Thesis

The interview begins as a profile of Predictive History and becomes a map of the coming storm. Jiang says his method is to build historical models and test them through predictions. Kim keeps pressing the paradoxes: why can this be taught in Beijing, why can he speak bluntly about taboo subjects, how could Trump become Caesar, whether civil war is really the emergency, what Pax Judaica means, and where a person should go if the forecast is right. The strongest answer arrives at the end. If the world is entering chaos, the safe place is not New Zealand, Israel, Chile, gold, or silver. The safe place is mindset, family, friends, children, community, resilience, and a willingness to give up the idea that wealth can save you.

## Core Reading

Predictive History is not presented here as clairvoyance. It is a discipline of models. Study enough of history to see recurring patterns in human behavior; make assumptions about how things develop; predict; then let accuracy or failure refine the framework. Game theory supplies the psychology: actors are players with rules, incentives, fears, desires, and images of victory. That method is why the interview can move from a Beijing classroom to Trump as Caesar, from AI surveillance to Pax Judaica, and from World War III to the question of how to live when geography stops being a guarantee.

## Reading

### A Classroom In The Gray Area

Time: 00:00-16:58
Summary: Kim asks what predictive history is and why this material is being taught in a Beijing high school; Jiang answers with method, macro-history, and the educational gray zone that lets his class exist.

Kim's opening frame is astonishment: a nearly million-subscriber channel, a high school class in Beijing, lectures on geopolitics, conspiracies, secret societies, and a viral reputation for prediction. Jiang refuses the magician frame. Prediction is a test of historical models. Game theory is not a slogan; it is a way to see players from inside their rules, incentives, and psychology.

The method needs scale. Jiang says he is not specializing in Rome or Britain; he wants a macro picture from the Ice Age to Pax Americana. That is what lets him compare today's America to Athens in the Peloponnesian War and call the United States a falling empire whose global hegemony is too large to sustain.

Sources: [3:47 seg-0009](https://jianglens.com/interviews/interview-t5cnf8dqj-q/transcript/#seg-0009) ([video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5cnf8DqJ_Q&t=227s)) `video:interview-t5cnf8dqj-q@transcript:v1#seg-0009`; [4:38 seg-0010](https://jianglens.com/interviews/interview-t5cnf8dqj-q/transcript/#seg-0010) ([video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5cnf8DqJ_Q&t=278s)) `video:interview-t5cnf8dqj-q@transcript:v1#seg-0010`; [4:54 seg-0011](https://jianglens.com/interviews/interview-t5cnf8dqj-q/transcript/#seg-0011) ([video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5cnf8DqJ_Q&t=294s)) `video:interview-t5cnf8dqj-q@transcript:v1#seg-0011`

The class is real, but not ordinary. Jiang records an English-language private-school class for Chinese students preparing to study abroad. Public schools are monitored by textbooks and exams; expat schools are a different track; his school sits in a recent experimental gray area for Chinese passport holders. He can teach off-wall material because the space is murky, the students are outward-bound, and the Communist Party red line is the one line he cannot cross.

The educational confession is sharper than the China anecdote. Jiang says his Yale-style elite education failed him. It could not explain Trump's 2016 victory, COVID, Ukraine, or the world as it actually seemed to operate. So he began giving conspiracy theories the benefit of the doubt as frameworks, not because every claim was true, but because elite education had left the dots unconnected. The class therefore does not teach facts first. It teaches an attitude: question things and connect dots, even when the result is uncomfortable.

### Trump As The Caesar Problem

Time: 10:35-36:03
Summary: Kim asks which figure Trump resembles; Jiang says Caesar, then builds the monarchy-versus-oligarchy model, the revenge psychology, and the civil-war machinery.

Jiang's affection for Americans does not soften his diagnosis. He says he respects American open-mindedness, generosity, and tolerance, then says America is heading toward civil war and there may be no way out. Kim asks for the historical analogue to Trump. Jiang chooses Julius Caesar: a man who became powerful through imperial war, bound soldiers personally to himself, faced elite prosecution, crossed the Rubicon, and turned republican crisis into military dictatorship.

The American choice, in this reading, is not democracy versus monarchy. It is monarchy versus oligarchy. If the ruling elite is incompetent, corrupt, and unwilling to admit failure, a monarch can become attractive because kings know how to buy the people: debt cancellation, relief, jubilee. The Caesar path does not require Americans to say they want a king. It requires them to feel that the oligarchy has left them no other usable sovereign.

The machinery is coercive and theatrical. Trump, Jiang says, can present himself as a conquering hero through Venezuela, Mexico, Colombia, Greenland, Canada, Cuba, or Iran. He can cultivate loyal forces through ICE, the National Guard, special forces, and a war ethos of maximum lethality. He can turn emergency into consolidation. In the most direct phrase, ICE becomes a test for the possible emergence of secret police in America.

Kim keeps testing the premise: polarization alone is not enough, people do not casually shoot neighbors, and even COVID did not stop an election. Jiang answers that civil war becomes useful when elites face either revolution or intra-elite settlement. Street factions, infiltrated groups, ICE provocations, predictive programming, and debt collapse all point in the same direction. If the house is worth one million and the debt is ten million, the oligarchy burns the house down and collects the insurance money.

### The Individual Matrix And Pax Judaica

Time: 32:30-52:25
Summary: The interview turns from U.S. civil war to AI control and Jiang's Pax Judaica model: capital leaves burning empires for the next safe base.

The civil-war story has a technical layer. Jiang separates the old establishment, transnational-capital, Wall Street deep state from a new MAGA-first, Silicon Valley, Palantir, AI-surveillance faction. The culture war is a surface. Under it is a fight over the next control system. AI is not mainly worth trillions because it makes silly videos or helps students cheat. It is worth that much because it can build digital ID, digital currency, surveillance, and an individualized media matrix that reinforces prejudice until people can be emotionally moved into action.

Pax Judaica is Jiang's name for the next capital refuge. The model begins in 1688 and 1694: Parliament over king, Bank of England, private gains, public guarantees, naval protection, and capital fleeing a burning Europe. That machinery becomes Pax Britannica, then Pax Americana. If America now burns, capital needs another safe place. Jiang names Israel because it has nuclear weapons, the Middle East has been wrecked around it, and Iran is the last major obstacle.

The darkest part of the model is not only Israeli dominance. It is what the new center is for: AI surveillance, digital currency, digital ID, emotional calibration, replacement labor, and transhumanist life-extension fantasies. Gaza enters as the existing prototype. Jiang says Gaza has long been an AI surveillance state. Kim then adds the felt argument from her own Israel visit: the place felt like it intended to become the world's leader. Jiang says he came away with the same feeling.

Smallness is not a disproof. Jiang's British comparison makes it the method. England was small and resource-poor, so it maintained Pax Britannica by sowing chaos elsewhere. Jiang says Israel can use the same strategy for Pax Judaica: make the rest of the world fight while the capital refuge survives.

### World War III Has Already Started

Time: 51:21-66:33
Summary: Kim asks where predictive history sees the war going. Jiang says the war began with Ukraine and will globalize through Europe, China, Japan, the oceans, and Iran.

Kim finally asks the predictive-history question directly: who fights, when does it begin, has it already begun, and who wins? Jiang says it has already begun. Ukraine, in this frame, is not a local war. It is a proxy war between the United States/NATO and Russia, fought by Ukrainians with NATO intelligence, targeting, financing, weapons, and support. The question is not whether World War III starts. The question is how it expands.

The first front is Europe and Russia: Project Ukraine cannot be abandoned, European volunteers or special forces shore up collapsing lines, conscription returns, Germany remilitarizes, and Trump keeps antagonizing Europe while siding emotionally with Russia. The second front is the Western Hemisphere bargain with China. Trump has to show Xi that he controls Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Canada, Greenland, and the commodity flows China needs for AI, batteries, EVs, solar, and high-tech industry.

The next fronts multiply. China and Japan collide over Taiwan, Malacca, Middle East oil, rare earths, and trade vulnerability. The United States and Russia clash at sea over oil tankers and a future Russian blue-water navy, possibly financed by Chinese shipbuilding capacity. Then Iran becomes the hinge. Jiang says 2026 is acceleration and 2027 will be worse because the United States will likely invade Iran after bargaining China away from Tehran.

Kim asks what chance there is that none of this happens and everyone simply goes back to life. Jiang's answer is the interview's threshold claim: the Rubicon has been crossed. Even Democratic midterm victories would not restore the old normal because national-security Democrats would want Trump to accelerate wars overseas. Trump's own strategy, Jiang says, is not retreat into neat spheres of influence. It is the American empire discarding liberal multilateral language and becoming open power politics: might is right.

### The Safe Place Is A Mindset

Time: 64:35-70:45
Summary: The final question is practical: where should people go? Jiang rejects the bunker map and gives a spiritual, communal, anti-materialist answer.

Kim asks the question many viewers would ask after an hour of this: where is the safest place in the world? Jiang says he has three kids and is trying to figure it out too. But every geographic answer defeats itself. If everyone goes to New Zealand, the money and people going there create property pressure, native resentment, and conflict. A safe place filled with everyone seeking safety becomes another site of strain.

Sources: [1:06:37 seg-0113](https://jianglens.com/interviews/interview-t5cnf8dqj-q/transcript/#seg-0113) ([video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5cnf8DqJ_Q&t=3997s)) `video:interview-t5cnf8dqj-q@transcript:v1#seg-0113`; [1:06:42 seg-0114](https://jianglens.com/interviews/interview-t5cnf8dqj-q/transcript/#seg-0114) ([video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5cnf8DqJ_Q&t=4002s)) `video:interview-t5cnf8dqj-q@transcript:v1#seg-0114`

The answer is therefore not geography but mindset. Give up the materialist fantasy of making money, retiring, buying the yacht, and securing a private exit from history. Learn things. Watch the news. Become resilient. Think about what matters. Most human history has been chaos. The question is whether your life is organized around family, friends, children, community, spiritual development, and philosophical development.

Sources: [1:07:30 seg-0115](https://jianglens.com/interviews/interview-t5cnf8dqj-q/transcript/#seg-0115) ([video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5cnf8DqJ_Q&t=4050s)) `video:interview-t5cnf8dqj-q@transcript:v1#seg-0115`; [1:08:20 seg-0116](https://jianglens.com/interviews/interview-t5cnf8dqj-q/transcript/#seg-0116) ([video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5cnf8DqJ_Q&t=4100s)) `video:interview-t5cnf8dqj-q@transcript:v1#seg-0116`

That final answer changes the whole interview. Predictive history can feed panic: gold, silver, Chile, New Zealand, Israel, bunkers, ten million dollars in the bank. Jiang says that path drives a person insane because it keeps worshiping the thing the chaos may destroy. The only defensible preparation is to give up the idea that wealth matters most and build the kind of soul and community that can survive disorder.

## Questions

### Can you explain what game theory and predictive history are?

Jiang says predictive history builds models from recurring patterns in human behavior and tests them through predictions; game theory reads actors as players operating through rules, incentives, and psychology.

### How are you able to talk about conspiracies, including Jews, on your channel and in your class?

Jiang answers first from autobiography: elite education failed to explain recent shocks, so he began testing alternative frameworks to connect dots. He then says China's private experimental-school gray area gives him room as long as he does not cross Communist Party red lines.

### Where is the safest place in the world to be during all of this?

Jiang says the answer is not geography. Safe places attract people, capital, and conflict. The real preparation is mindset: spiritual and philosophical development, resilience, attention to the world, family, friends, children, and community.
