# Messianic Return

**Aliases:** return of the messiah, mission continuity, returning savior, messianic role.

> **Fast answer:** Messianic return names Jiang's script in which a sacred actor's death or interruption is treated as unfinished mission. Later actors search for the return, successor, or role that can complete the interrupted historical task.

## What Jiang Means

The term is less about proving a person literally returned than about how a community reads history. A failed or incomplete victory can become waiting. Waiting can become role assignment. Role assignment can turn current politics into completion of sacred history.

Jiang uses the pattern in Orthodox and Stalin/Putin material, but it also sits inside the broader eschatology lens: Antichrist, messiah, restrainer, and savior roles can govern behavior before they are verified.
